The Baltic States are perfect for people who are looking for adventure! There are many wonderful things you can enjoy such as kayaking, parachute jumping, or even bobsleighing. Everyone who loves adrenaline rushing through their veins should look more into the Baltic States and these wonderful adventurous activities, which also introduce you to the Baltics culture and traditions.

Kayak around the Baltic islands and Soomaa in Estonia

There are so many beautiful islands in Estonia, which you must visit while traveling through the Baltic States. And the best way to reach those islands is with kayaks. There are several tour companies that organize sea-kayaking around the Estonian islands. Also, Mohni Island is known as the top spot for diving in this region! People who don’t feel comfortable kayaking in the Baltic Sea can always go to Soomaal National Park, which is a super popular kayaking destination as well.

Wander around Labanoras Regional Park

Labanoras Regional Park is a superb place to experience Lithuanian forests and meet some ancient spirits of the woods (if you get lucky). Of course, even without the spirits, Labanoras is one of the highlights of Lithuania and you can also be sure to find some fresh berries and mushrooms, which locals go picking every year when the season starts.

Go SUPing in Trakai

Trakai is a lovely town in Lithuania, which is popular among tourists because of its wonderful castle which stands surrounded by Trakai Lake. People who want to get active in Trakai can choose one of many water sports, including SUPing, which has been trending in Lithuania lately. There are plenty of spots where you can rent SUPing boards and row to the middle of the lake to enjoy the views of Trakai Castle in complete freedom!

Bobsleighing in Sigulda

Sigulda is one of few spots in the world where you can actually go down a bobsleigh track with real professionals. It is a must-do activity if you love speed and want to feel the adrenaline rushing through your veins while you are taking those sharp and thrilling turns on your way down the track. One ride only costs 10 euros, which is super reasonable for such an activity!

Yachting in the Curonian Spit

The Curonian Spit is probably the most beautiful place in the Baltics – where yellow sand dunes meet green forests. To enjoy the view even better, you should go yachting! There are plenty of yachts to rent in Nida, so you can go to the sea with your friends or swim around the Curonian Spit and enjoy the romantic sunset with your other half. On top of that, if you don’t feel like touching the water, you can opt for sand-yachting in Nida.

Hunting in Latvian forests

There are a lot of wild animals living in Latvia, so it is not a surprise that hunting is an extremely popular activity among the locals. There are a lot of different organizations, such as Latvian Safari Club of Latvian State Forests, which can arrange a perfect hunting trip for you and according to your needs. Also, there are more than 40 private deer parks, where visitors can hunt stags, mouflon, deer, and many other wild animals.

Windsurfing on Ķīšezers Lake

People who are visiting Riga and love windsurfing will be happy to find out that there are several clubs near Ķīšezers Lake where people can learn how to windsurf and test their skills on the water. Windsurfing is quite a popular attraction in Latvia, so there are many other places outside of Riga, including Siver Lake and Daugava River, at which to try your skills.

Cycling around the Baltics

Cycling is extremely popular in the Baltics so you can be sure to find cycling tours or simple bike rental shops everywhere around Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia from Vilnius to the Curonian Spit to Riga to Tartu to the wonderful Baltic beaches. Cycling might be a slightly more mainstream adventure, but who cares when you get a chance to experience the Baltics to the fullest without too much to worry about.
