While some may think all spas are the same, Korean spas offer some services that you might not see at another establishments. From milk baths and body scrubs to saunas and pools, Korean spas have been gaining popularity throughout the U.S., including New Jersey. Find out more about these Korean treatments and where to get them in the Garden State.

King Spa & Sauna

Ask anyone about Korean spas, and they’ll quickly tell you to go to King Spa & Sauna. With six floors filled with different saunas and treatment rooms, this is easily the largest Korean spa in northern New Jersey. Not only can guests get massages and facials, they can also get their nails and hair done, too. For anyone who wants to come to King Spa & Sauna from New York, there are shuttles from Manhattan and Queens that pick up and drop off.

Island Spa & Sauna

Covering 30,000 square feet, the Island Spa & Sauna in Edison, NJ, is pretty big. With six different sauna rooms that range in temperature, guests can relax and detoxify in a number of ways. There are also many different kinds of massage and skin care treatments on offer. If you’re feeling a little peckish, stop by the food court that serves a variety of Korean dishes.

SoJo Spa Club

SoJo Spa Club takes the best of traditional Korean spas and brings modernity and luxury for a one-of-kind experience. With the New York City skyline as its backdrop, patrons can relax on the rooftop or get rid of knots in the hydrotherapy pool. If you want to stay semi-dry, detoxify in one of the saunas. There is also an ice room to wake up your body. New Yorkers can also enjoy the Spa Club by taking a shuttle from the Port Authority in Manhattan.

Sol Sauna & Massage Spa

While many Korean spas boast elaborate services and pools, the Sol Sauna & Massage Spa is a bit more simple. But that doesn’t mean the wellness establishment doesn’t bring plenty of rest and relaxation. Tucked inside a mini mall, the Korean spa offers massages, reflexology and body scrubs. There are two hot rooms and a steam room. Although it might not look luxurious, you’ll walk out feeling a little better.

Spa Dew

While many Korean spas are found in Palisades Park, just hop over to the next town and you’ll find Spa Dew in Fort Lee. Unlike other Korean spas, this one focuses more on treatments like body scrubs, massages and facials. Customers can also add an extra treatment, like a Dead Sea mud wrap or hair conditioning treatment. Spa Dew also offers packages for couples.

New Four Seasons Spa

Also in Fort Lee, New Four Seasons Spa will make you feel like a new person. Regulars suggest that first timers get a massage followed by the body cleansing treatment. You will feel relaxed and rejuvenated with new healthy skin. The combination treatment takes 90 minutes. Facials and other longer treatments are also available.
