The Best Places To Party In Ikov

It is said that the Žižkov district has more pubs than any other city district in Europe – so it makes sense to head there if you’re looking for a night out. We take a look at some of the best places to party in Žižkov.

1. Storm Club

A concert venue for smaller bands and groups from all over Europe during the week, Storm transforms itself into a vibrant music club on weekends. Come here for two stages blasting electronic music, live Djs, anti-slip flooring and the newest technology available in sound and lighting. There’s also a chill-out area and a summer beer garden if you need a break or want to start partying earlier.

2. Palác Akropolis Klub

Building, Theater

Akropolis offers an eclectic mix of theater, club, pub and film space under one roof. Don’t let the artsy side of the space fool you, though – Palác Akropolis is a popular venue for alternative music, live bands and unusual performers and live Djs you might not catch anywhere else. Partying goes on till the early mornings, well after other places around have already closed.

3. Bukowski´s

Cocktail Bar, Bar, Cocktails

If your idea of partying involves glamorous people drinking cocktails, then this is the place for you. Bukowski´s has an eclectic style that includes carpeting, fold down theater chairs and a gritty but artsy feel – a combination that makes it extremely popular with Prague’s hipster crowd. In addition to an impressive wine and beer list, the bar also offers handcrafted cocktails and a number of happy hours where girls drink free.

4. Riegrovy Sady Beer Garden

The Riegrovy Sady Beer Garden is technically not in Žižkov (Prague 3) but just a couple of blocks away over the edge in Prague 2. However, locals and visitors alike consider it part of Žižkov, so it’s worth a mention here. A massive outdoor beer garden that can sit almost 1000 people, this is the happening place in Žižkov once the weather starts to warm up. Stop here for beers on tap, grilled food, wine and other drinks. There are massive screens that often play sports matches live, concerts or music videos. Dogs are welcome (and there are often many playing around) and the beer garden is surrounded by a nice park.
