Omaha is the largest city in the state of Nebraska and this all-American city has all-American dining options with an array of steakhouses, bars and diners. One of the most notable aspects of dining in Omaha, however, is the burgers. Here are some of the best places to grab the perfect hamburger in this city.

1. Louie M's Burger Lust

Restaurant, American, Vegetarian, Healthy

Louie M’s Burger Lust began as a catering service and is now one of Omaha’s staples for food and a good time. Louie M’s has an enticing breakfast but what makes the place shine is the burgers. Louie’s hand-pattied 1/2 LB Burgers come with close to 20 varieties including six different types of cheese. Come here for Louie’s Favorite Burger, topped with bacon, blue cheese and jalapeños.

2. Omaha Tap House

Restaurant, Pub Grub

A hop, skip and a jump from the Old Market in downtown is the Omaha Tap House, a bustling watering hole frequented by the locals for the good vibes and the tasty hamburgers. This gastropub offers 16 different burgers that really pack a punch. The toppings for many of these burgers, although not healthy, may just be the most absurd and delicious add-ons in all of Omaha. Perhaps the most notable choice at the Tap House is the Blueberry Hangover Burger, beef mixed with blueberries and topped with cheesy hash browns, a fried egg, brown sugar bacon and blueberry jalapeño jam, all on grilled blueberry bread! This culinary firework has to be tasted to be believed.

3. Dinker's Bar

Bar, Pub Grub

Situated right off I-80, Dinker’s Bar is advertised to have been serving Omaha’s best burgers for over 60 years. This cash only dive bar serves their burgers cheap and greasy, just the way burgers should be. Dare to try the Ultimate Triple Decker Dinker Burger: an original cheeseburger stacked three high and topped with lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, Hickory Smoked bacon and sautéed onions between a Kaiser bun. Come to Dinker’s for a great place to meet people and enjoy quality food at a classic Omaha establishment.

4. King Kong Fast Foods

In the heart of Omaha is King Kong, a friendly dive diner that serves up its food in larger than life portions. Watch the burgers get grilled right in front of you as you stand in line and choose from the double, triple or quadruple burger. At King Kong, you certainly won’t leave hungry.

5. Bronco's Burgers

Bronco’s Burgers

Saddle up and ride on down to Bronco’s, one of Omaha’s oldest drive-ins and burger restaurants. Many locals in the city have been flocking here their entire lives, and for good reason. Come here for breakfast, lunch or dinner to enjoy friendly service and greasy goodness. How about topping off one of their immensely satisfying double cheeseburgers with a side of fries and a milkshake? At Bronco’s, it’s old school burger meals at their best.
